Overview Of Division/Department

Our team in Banking APAC sits at the centre of client and capital strategy, shaping how the bank allocates capital across clients, products and markets. This includes managing the APAC Capital Committee, ESG Quality Screening, Client Tiering and Account Planning. The Client & Capital Strategy team plays a critical role in driving business growth by translating strategy into actionable decisions, working closely with senior management and regional stakeholders to ensure optimal deployment of balance sheet and alignment with regional priorities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain visibility into regional capital allocation decisions and contribute meaningfully to key business and deal outcomes across APAC.

Job Responsibilities

Your key roles & responsibilities include:

Account Planning Process

  • Collaborate with APAC branches on client prioritization and account planning to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Organize and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
  • Review account plans and minute action items.
  • Track and monitor action items, ensuring timely completion and reporting to senior management.

APAC Capital Committee

Evaluate transactions based on profitability, risk-weight asset management and strategic alignment with Account Plan and Banking APAC overall strategy.

  • Support formulation of recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare regular reports for management to support performance monitoring and data driven decision making.

ESG Quality Screening

Support assessment of ESG risks for applicable deals in APAC and document outcomes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support Banking APAC projects and regional initiatives as required.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks as required by senior team members.

Job Requirements

What you should have:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Graduate from banking, finance and/or business analytics.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, as training will be provided.
  • Candidates with knowledge of data tools e.g. MySQL, Tableau, Data Visualization or programming languages e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python, R, HTML, CSS will have an advantage.
