Role Description The Analyst role is a full-time remote or hybrid position based in Charleston, WV, with flexibility for the right candidate to work from home. The Analyst will support valuation and advisory projects by collecting, verifying, and analyzing market data for commercial properties, including sales, leases, and operating information. Daily responsibilities include preparing financial models, assisting with highest and best use analyses, and contributing to written appraisal and consulting reports under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves coordinating with managing directors and other staff to meet client deadlines, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with relevant standards. The Analyst will also monitor market trends, maintain internal databases, and help respond to client inquiries and information requests.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and interpreting market and economic indicators.
- Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear reports, summarize complex data, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess solid research and information-gathering skills, including experience with market research, property-level data collection, and verification of third-party sources.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in common business and analysis tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with real estate or valuation software is beneficial.
- Certified General is a plus or Residential license with a goal of progressing toward the certified general license
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, business, or a related field is preferred; progress toward or interest in professional designations (e.g., Appraisal Institute credentials) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote or hybrid environment, collaborating in-office in Charleston, WV and independently from home, while maintaining professionalism and client service focus.
