About The Internship

Our Transactions and Feasibility Internship was created to develop and invest in future real estate leaders. Interns are hired for a multi-week immersive experience where they learn the fundamentals of new investment underwriting, modeling, transitions management, and experience the culture of BRE Hotels & Resorts.

During the internship, individuals will receive training and work on a variety of projects that directly impact the business. Summer interns are immediately a part of our collaborative culture and build enduring relationships with their fellow interns, manager, and assigned mentor. Summer interns also have the opportunity to network with various professionals through organized social events. Finally, each summer intern will work with an assigned mentor to complete a project and present their findings with other interns to the executive leadership team. This position is based out of BRE’s headquarters in New York City, NY. As of the date on which this job advertisement is posted, the Company anticipates that the base hourly range for this role is $25/per hour (undergrad) – $30/per hour (rising senior).

Our summer analyst internship program will begin June 2026 and last through July 2026. To be eligible, you must be a college student during the time of the internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Support team on new investment underwriting, investment materials, transitions management and market research
  • Benchmark potential investments against existing hotel holdings and competitor hotels
  • Support due diligence process
  • Support operations team in ensuring a successful transition to BRE platform
  • Gather and analyze data through research, financial and industry-specific systems
  • Assists in updating and building advanced Excel models to evaluate investment opportunity and current portfolio
  • Performs ad-hoc requests on industry and portfolio-related data and research

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution
  • Pursuing a degree in hospitality, accounting, finance, real estate, economics or business with a finance/accounting concentration
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint; advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in New York City in a full-time capacity for 10 weeks, beginning in June of 2026

Base Compensation Range

$25.00 To $25.00 Hourly. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
