Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Alexandria, VA that is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute monthly resident statements; ensure payments, adjustments, and reimbursements are accurately posted to individual accounts
- Reconcile resident fee accounts to corresponding general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Run and reconcile monthly census or occupancy reports to track new admissions and changes, maintaining supporting documentation in spreadsheet format
- Review new resident contracts to confirm correct plan selection and effective dates within the billing system
- Track and verify receipt of required insurance information, including primary and secondary coverage, and coordinate with internal claims or reimbursement teams as needed
- Enter and/or import charges for services such as medical supplies, pharmacy, dining, and other resident-related services into the billing system
- Oversee month-end billing activities, ensuring departmental procedures and internal controls are followed
- Oversee or assist with the posting of cash receipts on a regular basis and reconcile cash receipt logs to monthly billing registers
- Monitor delinquent accounts, perform follow-up collection efforts, and escalate accounts according to established collection procedures
- Provide billing support or coverage for other departments or locations as needed
- Maintain electronic resident account files and ensure accurate storage of billing records, reconciliations, and census reports
- Prepare and manage vendor invoices and internal billing spreadsheets; Track payments and communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders regarding account status
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and personal information and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
