SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day Accounts Payable activities. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong internal controls and supporting the AP team members in executing their responsibilities efficiently.

The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with organizational and coordination skills.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

This role will report directly to the Director, Finance and will support all accounting functions and processes, where necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Coordinate and supervise day-to-day AP activities, ensuring team performance, deadlines, and quality standards are met.
  • Oversee invoice processing, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely entry into the system.
  • Monitor accounts payable ageing ensuring timely payment execution in line with cash flow planning and approval controls.
  • Review and validate invoices prior to posting and payment.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and resolve escalations or discrepancies
  • Support in Accounts Payable month-end close activities, including accruals review, reconciliations, controls and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles / IFRS, internal policies, and financial controls.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting, while driving cost-efficiency and process improvements across all AP-related activities.
  • Drive process optimization initiatives, including automation, standardization, and continuous improvement of internal processes.
  • Assist with statutory audit process.
  • Assist Treasury department coordinating payment runs and cash flow timing.
  • Follow relevant GDP & GMP required related to distribution and importation activities.
  • Support team continuity by backing up colleagues during absences, promoting cross-training, and mentoring members.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in healthcare industry
  • Proven experience coordinating processes or supervising team activities preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Knowledge of SAP will be highly considered) and advanced MS Office tools, specifically Excel
  • Language Requirement: – English
