We’re seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team in FMH Group’s Transport division, based in Albury. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll provide accurate, timely support across our Border Express business and help keep accounts payable operations running smoothly.
About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you’ll deliver accurate, timely payment support and help keep accounts payable processes running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Process invoice payments accurately and on time, including purchase orders, invoice approvals, data entry, reconciliations, remittance advice and payment generation.
- Review paperwork and correspondence to ensure all information is accurate and relevant.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues and support improvements to prevent repeat errors.
- Manage weekly sub-contractor payments, including rates, fuel levy deductions, purchases, recharges, purchase orders and data entry.

You will bring:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and follow up on anomalies.
- Proven reconciliation experience.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Accurate data entry skills and sound computer literacy, including spreadsheet experience.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a committed team.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to provide strong service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with sub-contractors will be highly regarded.
