About the role
The Accounts Payable Officer plays a key role in the Finance and Reporting team at Atlas Arteria. The role is responsible for supporting end-to-end accounts payable activities for the business. The role plays an important part in managing our accounting system SAGE, and will work with members of the Finance team to help to optimise and improve current processes.
The role is based in the Melbourne office and works as part of a high performing and collaborative team. Liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organisation, including our US team to support the local accounts payable process there.
About you
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you bring 2–3 years of experience in a similar role and a solid understanding of end‑to‑end accounts payable processes. You’re confident managing transactions with accuracy and efficiency, and you take pride in ensuring invoices, reconciliations, and payment cycles are completed to a consistently high standard.
You communicate clearly and professionally, in both written and verbal communications, and you’re comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Building strong working relationships comes naturally to you, and you approach every interaction with a collaborative and solutions‑focused mindset. Your exceptional data entry skills and strong attention to detail help you maintain accuracy in the work you do.
You thrive in fast‑paced environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. Staying organised, prioritising competing deadlines, and managing your workload effectively are strengths you rely on every day. You take ownership of your responsibilities, adapt quickly to change, and bring a proactive, improvement‑oriented approach to your work.
While not essential, experience with SAGE, a qualification in accounting, business, or finance, or exposure to transport, infrastructure, or private equity/investment sectors would be highly regarded.
