The Staff Pad is partnering with a reputed hospital located in Manchester, TN, and we are looking to hire a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join the accounting team.
In this role you are required to have a solid understanding of accounting principles and hands‑on experience with accounts payable processes.
What You’ll Do
- Process accounts and incoming payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Execute daily financial transactions, including verifying, posting, and recording accounts payable data.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure accurate recording of bills and payments.
- Monitor vendor payment agreements and ensure timely payments.
- Assist with month‑end closing tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. - Previous accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
- Prior healthcare, medical office, or hospital accounting experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with accuracy and professionalism.
- Experience performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Familiarity with accounting systems and ERP software.
- Understanding of month‑end closing processes, vendor management, and payment processing.
