JOB PURPOSE(Overall Objective)

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves managing the accounting team, preparing detailed financial statements, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making.

JOB PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES and JOB CONTENT

Core Accounting Duties:

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy in operations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support planning and resource allocation.
  • Perform reconciliations for bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor and control company expenses, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide strategic financial reports and updates to senior management.
  • Implement, evaluate, and enhance accounting systems and processes for operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies, fiscal controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, international regulations, and company policies.

Regulatory Compliance and Policies:

  • Develop and implement policies to align with newly issued accounting standards.
  • Provide guidance on accounting treatments to ensure adherence to local GAAP, IFRS, and company standards.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis.

Special Job Knowledge/Skills (If any) :

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Experience

  • +10 years of experience in accounting and at least +2 years’ in leadership roles

Skills

  • Very Good command of English, able to understand, assess and articulate a response
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,AX, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Competency profile

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    Computer knowledge

    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AX dynamics, SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
