Role Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and results-driven Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision-making. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing reporting processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Close Process

·      Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

·      Ensure month-end closing is completed within defined timelines (e.g., within 5 business days)

·      Maintain accuracy and completeness of accounting records in compliance with standards and company policies

2. General Accounting & Reconciliation

·      Ensure all transactions are properly reviewed, documented, and recorded

·      Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis

·      Monitor journal entries to maintain an error rate of ≤1% and minimize adjustments

3. Compliance & Audit

·      Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements

·      Manage timely filing of all tax and statutory reports (zero late filings and penalties)

·      Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring findings are resolved within agreed timelines (e.g., within 30 days)

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable / Cash Flow Management

·      Oversee AP and AR processes to maintain strong cash flow

·      Monitor collection performance (e.g., DSO targets) and payment timeliness

·      Ensure high on-time invoice processing rate (95–100%)

·      Manage and monitor cash flow forecasts with minimal variances

5. Budgeting & Financial Analysis

·      Provide accurate financial data, variance analysis, and insights to support management decisions

·      Monitor expenses against approved budgets (variance within ±3–5%)

·      Reduce non-compliant or unplanned expenditures through strong controls

6. Process Improvement & Systems Optimization

·      Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual work and improve efficiency

·      Streamline accounting workflows and reporting templates

·      Contribute to reducing close cycle timelines and manual adjustments

7. Team Leadership & Professional Development

·      Supervise and guide accounting staff to ensure high-quality output

·      Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and ethical behavior

·      Ensure completion of required training and continuous professional development

Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

·      CPA preferred (or equivalent certification)

·      5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role

·      Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting

·      Experience in audit coordination and regulatory compliance

·      Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
