Epilogue is seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to lead all day-to-day accounting and finance operations for our growing enterprise software company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be responsible for everything from month-end close and financial reporting to payroll, billing, banking, benefits administration, and cash management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Own the general ledger and monthly close process in Quickbooks
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Prepare budget-to-actual reporting and financial analysis
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts
- Support CEO reporting and board financial packages
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Accounts Receivable, Billing & Banking
- Manage customer invoicing and recurring SaaS billing
- Oversee accounts receivable, collections, and cash application
- Manage accounts payable and vendor payments
- Perform bank reconciliations and oversee banking relationships
- Administer sales commissions
Payroll, Benefits & HR Administration
- Process payroll through Paychex
- Administer employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding
- Maintain payroll and personnel records
- Support HR administration and employee documentation
Compliance & Operations
- Coordinate with outside CPA firms for tax preparation and year-end activities
- Manage sales tax filings and regulatory compliance
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
- Perform other finance and administrative responsibilities as needed in a growing business
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience managing the complete accounting cycle independently
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and banking
- Experience preparing monthly financial statements and managing month-end close
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with executive leadership
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Bonus Qualifications but not required
- CPA designation
- Experience in a SaaS or software company
- Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Experience with Paychex payroll
- Experience with Zoho CRM
- Experience supporting an entrepreneurial or high-growth business
