Position Overview
Titan Fuel Tanks is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly organized Accounting Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations and day-to-day office administration.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing company assets and cash flow, overseeing payroll and banking activities, supporting financial decision-making, and ensuring the office operates efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and financial management experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced business environment. Experience in the automotive industry or at an automotive dealership is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Management
- Oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations
- Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and company financial performance
- Assist company leadership with financial planning and decision-making
- Manage company asset allocation and maintain accurate asset records
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and expense management
- Complete account and bank reconciliations
- Support year-end closing and work with outside accountants or tax professionals
- Maintain proper internal controls and financial procedures
- Ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and completed on schedule
Payroll and Banking
- Process and oversee employee payroll
- Maintain payroll records, deductions, and required documentation
- Coordinate with payroll providers, insurance providers, and financial institutions
- Manage company banking activities, deposits, transfers, and account administration
- Monitor company credit cards, financing accounts, and other financial obligations
- Help ensure compliance with applicable payroll, tax, and employment requirements
Office Management
- Oversee general office operations and administrative processes
- Maintain organized company records, files, agreements, and documentation
- Assist with employee onboarding, personnel documentation, and administrative support
- Help establish and maintain efficient office policies and procedures
- Serve as a point of contact for banks, vendors, accountants, insurance providers, and other business partners
- Support company leadership with administrative and operational projects
- Identify opportunities to improve financial and office efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounting, controllership, bookkeeping, financial management, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience managing payroll, banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and standard office programs
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with company leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive industry experience
- Automotive dealership accounting or office management experience
- Previous experience as a controller, office manager, accounting manager, or dealership office manager
- Experience managing company assets, inventory-related accounting, or manufacturing finances
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis
- Advanced college degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
