We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support back-office operations for a growing transportation and logistics company. This is a part-time role, designed for a professional who thrives in independent work environments and takes pride in keeping financial and administrative records clean, accurate, and current.

As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for auditing trip sheets, reviewing driver submissions and load documentation, supporting billing preparation, and ensuring all records are accurately uploaded and organized in company systems. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and are expected to manage your workload efficiently and consistently without the need for close supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Trip Sheet and Document Auditing

– Review and audit trip sheets for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards

– Identify discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies and follow up as needed

– Verify that all load documents and driver submissions are complete and properly filed

• Data Entry and Records Management

– Accurately enter operational and financial data into company systems

– Upload, label, and organize all incoming documentation into the appropriate digital folders and platforms

– Always maintain organized and audit-ready records

• Billing and Settlement Support

– Assist in the preparation of billing packages and driver settlement documentation

– Cross-reference load data, delivery confirmations, and rate agreements to support accurate invoices

– Flag discrepancies or missing information that could impact billing accuracy

• Administrative Coordination

– Support internal administrative tasks related to operations

– Communicate with the dispatch team as needed to resolve documentation gaps

– Maintain consistent productivity during the assigned shift hours

Required Skills and Experience:

– Fluent English (Advanced or Native level – both spoken and written)

– Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support roles preferred

– Background in logistics, freight, or transportation industries is a strong advantage

– High proficiency in data entry with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail

– Comfortable working independently and managing a consistent workload without supervision

– Organized, methodical, and reliable in handling sensitive financial documentation

– Familiarity with billing workflows, settlement processes, or freight documentation is a plus

– Proficiency with spreadsheets and document management platforms

Job Type: Remote – Part-time (30 hours a week)

$800-$1,100 / Month
