About the Opportunity:
We’re looking for an Accounting Analyst to support and strengthen the North American Finance function across EconoLease/SilverChef. This role is key to ensuring our financial operations remain accurate, compliant, and efficient while contributing to a high‑performing Accounting & Finance team.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll work across payroll, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and month‑end close activities. You’ll also help drive process improvements and support strong internal controls as our business continues to grow.
In this role, you will:
- Payroll: Process full‑cycle payroll, including deductions, remittances, and year‑end slips (T4, T4A, RL)
- Reconciliations: Complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, expenses, commissions, and other payables
- Accounts Receivable: Invoice customers, apply payments, and manage outstanding balances
- Intercompany: Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions across business units
- Controls & compliance: Support process improvements and maintain strong internal controls
- Month‑end: Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑/year‑end deadlines
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Collections, and Funding teams
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Degree or diploma in accounting (preferred)
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification
- 3+ years of accounting and payroll experience
- Experience with NetSuite (an asset)
- Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent problem‑solving capability
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross‑functionally
- A proactive, accountable mindset with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
