Accountant – On Site in Wisconsin Rapids – $23-25/hour
Our Wisconsin Rapids client is seeking an Accountant to join their team, a reputable and long-standing area business.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
General Ledger & Accounting
- Maintaining and reconciling general ledgers
- Recording journal entries
- Assisting with month-end and year end processes
- Resolving account discrepancies
- Supporting reconciliations of bank products
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assisting with preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reports
- Compiling supporting schedules and variance analyses
- Utilizing MS Excel for working with financial data, including functions such as formulas, pivot tables and charts
- Supporting the preparation of regulatory reports
- Compiling and submitting required quarterly financial reports
Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
- Processing AP transactions
- Maintaining vendor records and disbursing payment
- Monitoring outstanding checks
- Assisting with 1099 preparation and vendor reporting
Budget & Audit Support
- Assisting with gathering data and supporting schedules for annual budget
- Providing support during audits
- Maintaining work papers and accounting files
Technology & Process
- Utilizing MS 365 software
– Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word - Learning and operating Fiserv banking system
Compliance & Confidentiality
- Adhering to applicable federal, state and internal rules and regulations
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Length
Temporary to Hire
Schedule
Full time hours, typically between 8am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
Potential for additional hours during month-end, year-end, and audit periods
Pay
Between $23-25/hour, based on experience

- Associates or Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Preferably 2 years of accounting experience
- Highly detailed
- Self-starter
- Skilled in multi-tasking and not afraid of deadlines
- Written and verbal communication skill
