Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career within a dynamic, international environment? We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join a growing finance team based in Essen.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements in line with group requirements and deadlines
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, including notes and management reports
- Post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and reporting
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations using financial systems and group reporting tools
- Support regular and ad-hoc reporting for management
- Assist with cash flow forecasting
- Act as a key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments
- Support audit processes (tax and statutory audits)
- Contribute to finance digitisation and automation initiatives
Experience:
- Completed commercial training, ideally with additional qualification as a certified accountant (IHK)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting
- Experience within a large, international organisation is advantageous
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and SAP CIM is a plus
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- Fluent in German and English
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on, flexible approach
