Job Description.
Express Group, Malta’s leading transport and logistics provider, is seeking a qualified Accountant to join our team full-time. The designated person will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions, overseeing the accounting team, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all company transactions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute daily accounting activities to maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure timely recording and reporting of all company transactions.
- Supervise accounting team members, providing direction and guidance to optimise performance.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of the financial reports and the budgeting process.
- Support management with financial analysis and business insights.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ local experience in a similar accounting role.
- Fully qualified accountant.
- Proficiency in IFRS and VAT legislation.
- Expertise in spreadsheet applications and financial reporting software.
- Proven managerial and organisational skills with experience in a supervisory role.
- High standards of confidentiality and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
