Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, including recording journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, filing VAT and Corporate Tax, reviewing and arranging Letters of Credit, Performance Bond Guarantees, and reconciling bank and account balances. The role includes preparing invoices, processing payments, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and supporting cash flow tracking. The Accountant will assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations, VAT, and corporate tax requirements. Responsibilities also include supporting audits, maintaining accurate documentation, participating in budgeting and forecasting processes, and collaborating with internal teams to provide financial insights and resolve accounting queries.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in general accounting, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payment processing, and cash flow monitoring.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax concepts, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to apply them in day-to-day accounting activities.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within consulting, professional services, or diversified business environments.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
