Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Account Assistant role based in Hicksville, NY.
Position Summary:
Primary responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Administrator are the management and organization of the payables to ensure proper posting and payment.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Resolve vendor issues, discrepancies, and statements effectively
- Process accounts payable invoices
- Verify invoice matches purchase orders and delivery tickets if applicable
- Reconcile corporate credit cards monthly
- Ensure all payments are processed accurately, in a timely manner and ensure compliance with company policies
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales/use tax and 1099 reporting requirements
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and processes and comply with tax laws
Skills & Aptitude:
- The ideal candidate would have experience in construction payables
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Detail orientated and able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with relevant software tools and accounting systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
- Prior experience in a financial, bookkeeping, payable, or accounting role is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred
