Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Account Assistant role based in Hicksville, NY.

 Position Summary:

Primary responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Administrator are the management and organization of the payables to ensure proper posting and payment.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Resolve vendor issues, discrepancies, and statements effectively
  • Process accounts payable invoices
  • Verify invoice matches purchase orders and delivery tickets if applicable
  • Reconcile corporate credit cards monthly
  • Ensure all payments are processed accurately, in a timely manner and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including sales/use tax and 1099 reporting requirements
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and processes and comply with tax laws

Skills & Aptitude:

  • The ideal candidate would have experience in construction payables
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail orientated and able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task  

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with relevant software tools and accounting systems
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
  • Prior experience in a financial, bookkeeping, payable, or accounting role is advantageous
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred
